  • The purpose of this thesis is to increase one's connection to the divine by means of a three-day retreat and an informational resource book, called The Sourcebook. What makes this retreat and The Sourcebook unique is that it integrates the Hindu chakra system and world spiritual traditions. The chakra system is an ancient belief that there are energy centers in the body that govern daily activity. Weaving these centers to six spiritual practices (grounding from American Indian spirituality, meditation from Buddhism, praise from Islam, service from Christianity, study from Judaism, and contemplation from Hinduism) provides the seeker with depth and breadth of experience and expertise in the application of these spiritual practices in daily life.
