  • This project had two objectives. The first was to train active church members to become involved in ministry. This objective involved persuading the trainees that ministry for Christians other than pastors is scriptural. It then involved instruction in what it takes to be a minister. The second objective was to assist new members in becoming actively involved in the life of the church. The key ingredient in this was the sponsorship program. Each trainee signed a commitment to sponsor a new or inactive member. The sponsor then became a friend to the one he sponsored.
