'Whimsey-crafting' is the ability, in the context of pastoral care-giving, not only to allow for the sudden occasional whimsical thought, but to move toward it purposefully, to shape and reframe whimsical thought in order to reshape, refocus, relabel and reframe reality and to submit it to the client/counselee for evaluation.
