  • This project proposes that a carefully planned and organized retreat can influence men to reconnect with the church and to change the ways in which they exercise power in the church. Based on a model of 'functional change,' the retreat leads men to increase their church involvement in more relational ways by engaging power relationally through mutual cooperation and influence rather than by imposing it through control 'from above'.
