- This project identifies and analyzes effects of incest on female victims with particular attention to the ability of victims to trust male pastoral psychotherapists and to what male therapists may learn about themselves through the therapy process. The project explores incest from biblical and theological as well as clinical and theoretical perspectives, examining betrayal of trust and abuse of power in three case studies with female incest survivors and a male therapist.
