  • In the present electronic age, radio and television have great power in communicating ideas and information, and they influence change. In Africa, where oral tradition, communalism, illiteracy, and poverty prevail, it is imperative that the church make use of the media seriously in its task of evangelism. Uganda is discussed as a model for such an evangelism project through the broadcast media. Human rights, political power and control, and a stance toward traditional African beliefs and culture are also discussed in relation to the success or limitation of prophetic evangelism through radio and television.
