Abstracto

The purpose of this study was to help senior adults in Norton Park Baptist Church prepare for retirement. Eight major retirement adjustment needs were identified and defined through the use of personal observation, research, and questionnaires. The design of the program focused on the eight major retirement adjustment needs. Surveys and a pretest-posttest indicated that the fourteen senior adults who participated in an eight-week training program showed an increased knowledge of these problems. The conclusion was that senior adults who were trained were better prepared to deal with retirement adjustment problems.
