Abstract
  • The project was designed to involve the pastor as a catalyst to enable the members of the church to discover more fully their gifts, abilities and resources and then to implement a program of congregational stewardship. The method employed was based upon an outline proposed by Jerome and Evelyn Whitehead, namely, attending (listening), assertion (moving toward decision) and decision (implementation). The result has been a heightened consciousness within the church of the capacities that God has given and specific continuing efforts to manage them as faithful stewards.
