Sometimes pastors discover their preaching is deteriorating. This can occur because preaching is difficult, demanding and done in isolation. Could a preachers' peer mentoring group encourage the preacher and strengthen their preaching? The scripture reveals pastors need to be concerned about their preaching. The Bible affirms mutual support and offers examples of peer mentoring. Peer mentoring is widely used in many fields today. From secular and Christian insights, a peer-mentoring program for preachers was designed, implemented, and tested. Participants found they received encouragement in general ministry and helpful evaluation of their preaching.
