Abstract
  • A major problem in Korean church schools is the shortage of mature adequately trained teachers. The church has sought to meet this problem with a strong storytelling approach. The writer's thesis is that storyteller training is important for improving teacher quality. To aid in training, the writer has developed a workshop guide through which even unskilled storytellers can help each other improve their skills, especially with use of tape recorders. Foundation studies covered the Korean church school context and the psychological, theological, and biblical backgrounds of story. The author concludes that the positive evaluations of workshop participants substantiated the potential of this storyteller workshop method.
