Abstracto

A church growth manual was developed for Puerto Rican Baptist churches, taking into consideration the principles of contextualization. The method for developing the manual was through a committee composed of Puerto Rican pastors, leaders, and missionaries. The committee developed and produced the manual, with a final workshop to field test it. There are seven steps in the manual which a church growth committee in the local church can follow in the process of developing a healthy church. The committee presented the manual to pastors and leaders of the Puerto Rico Baptist Association in a two-day retreat. The pastors and leaders at the retreat approved of the manual which emphasized the contextual approach as a practical guide for church growth.
