Abstract
  • The area of ministry known as general home visitation can be an area in which the whole people of God provide pastoral care and in which growth toward maturity in Christ can be fostered. A theology of pastoral care is provided. A design for a reproducible program of general visitation by persons in a congregation is given. Forms are provided for assessing one's spiritual condition. Growth in visitation skills is measured by a pre- and post-test given to each visitor. Spiritual growth of the visitors is assessed. The program was done twice as a test of its reproducubility.
