Abstract
  • This project recruits a group of fifteen lay persons from the First United Methodist Church of Brunswick, Georgia, to participate in a core group which explores a wholistic understanding of evangelism and develops a strategy for making evangelism the church's priority. The project addresses three basic questions: 1) what is evangelism; 2) why evangelize; and 3) who evangelizes? The act of ministry produces a model for developing programs of evangelism which address the unique situations of local churches.
