The question this paper addresses is 'does the church of Jesus Christ minister to the sickness, the pain and the grief that people experience in the world today?' The healing ministry that Jesus started and gave to his disciples proclaims to a hurting people that the Kingdom of God is present. People are hungry for proclamation with power that healing ministry involves. This is evidenced within the congregation that healing ministry is introduced. A workshop model and results is presented in the paper with a critique of the Healing Service in the LBW Occasional Service Book.
