  • The purposes of this project are 1) to investigate the relationship between the posttraumatic stress disorder of Vietnam veterans and depression; 2) to discover the relationship between depression and its impact on family life; 3) to develop helpful ministries to Vietnam veterans that include support systems in the community and guidelines for ministry. The method of study or research includes private, group and family counseling, staff interaction, professional consultations, field trips to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C., and worship services. The conclusion is one of hope. There is a ministry of healing for the depressive aftermath of the Vietnam War.
