- Abstract
- The goals of this project are to help the elderly in the community to live a wholistic life through a 30-session educational program in an elderly school, and for Do-Hwa Methodist Church to overcome its closed attitude to the community which was formed through 'church growth.' The project is theologically grounded on the church as body of Christ and people of God and continuing Christ's ministry as diakonia. A pre-project survey of 34 pastors showed that Korean churches tend to neglect the ministry with the elderly, and post-project questionnaires completed by the elderly school participants showed that this project met a real need and should be continued, improved, and expanded.
