Abstrait

This project provides a program of education and Bible study on mental retardation for two congregations in Denton, Texas. Clients from Denton State School attend these churches. The chaplain at Denton State School prepares the curriculum and teaches a series of four classes at each congregation. The goals of the classes include increasing the participants' knowledge of mental retardation, increasing positive attitudes toward persons who are mentally retarded and encouraging theological reflection concerning people with handicaps.
