- Abstract
- This project is a pro-active case study which seeks to encourage the faithful worship of God through the development of a blended format of worship for the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church in Newark, Ohio. Blended worship is the purposeful admixture of traditional and contemporary worship, in which the full diversity and gifts of the local worshiping community is considered as it gathers to worship God. The study demonstrates that a blended format of worship resting on larger biblical, historical/reformed and contemporary foundations produces worship which is faithful and provides for the full participation of God's people.
