  • A significant part of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan is illiterate and inactive, not participating in the mission of God (missio Dei). After Biblical, historical and cultural research, a plan was formulated to equip Pakistani Presbyterians to holistically train evangelists and missionaries from this inactive segment of the church through study, skills development (literacy/evangelism) and spiritual formation classes. The conclusion reached was that as organizational, church and institutional leadership partner together to provide culturally relevant and holistic training, the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan can become the 'church-in-mission.'
