  • This project was designed to discover a post-modern methodology for the preparation and presentation of children's sermons. A booklet of children's sermon experiences for Lent following year B of the New Common Lectionary was developed and distributed to clergy and lay worship leaders. These children's sermons were then shared with congregations and critiqued by both lay and clergy worship leaders who completed pre-implementation and post-implementation questionnaires to describe the worship settings and to evaluate the children's sermons. The refined children's sermon development process emerged from the compilation of the booklet and the results of the model evaluations.
