This project provides a historical overview of the development of the Vatican II Three Year Lectionary. It includes a discussion of how the lectionary has been adapted by various denominations throughout the world. The study examines the lectionary's pre-suppositions and principles of composition. It compares and analyzes the form of the Three Year Lectionary in An Australian Prayer Book (1978) and the Alternative Tables of Lessons (1985).
