- This project presents a historical-cultural-grammatical study of Romans 14:1-15:13 and 1 Corinthians 8-10. In examining each passage the 'strong' and the 'weak' are identified, and the problem arising in each assembly is specified. Paul's motivation for using specific terms is explained and principles he delineates to guide the practice of liberty are presented. Christian liberty is explained and distinguished from 'positional' freedom. The all-important concept of 'stumbling' (or 'causing a brother to stumble') is defined. Teaching outlines, overheads, and student outlines are included to facilitate communication of this material to a local church.
