Abstrakt

The purpose of this dissertation was to discover the factors that have helped California churches develop a meaningful Hispanic ministry. This study asked what are the barriers to effective Hispanic ministry, what have been the most helpful strategies, and what are the universal ministry factors that help reach people of all races and cultures? The design of this study was an interview format within a qualitative research style. Eleven pastors were interviewed from across the state of California, who had demonstrated success in reaching out to the Hispanic community. In conclusion, there are four key areas: theology, anthropology, and leadership.
