  • Darrell Lance. This project introduces the pastor in Monroe County, New York, to the Therapeutic Alternatives for Sexually Abused Children and Their Families (TASA) program. TASA deals with incest, intrafamily sexual abuse through the court system and with therapeutic alternatives. The dynamics of an incestuous family are explored as well as ways in which the pastor may become an intervenor in an incestuous family. The project concludes that incest occurs in greater frequency than most individuals are aware. The pastor is a potentially powerful source in intervention and in ministering to the families. The project uses personal interviews with the leaders involved in the TASA program and researches the literature in both the area of incest and pastoral ministry.
