Abstrakt

This project is a program that trains church volunteers to do a visitation ministry of encouragement through biblical pastoral care. The program is based upon theological and historical foundations. The document includes a manual which guides the pastor through the process of selecting, training, and supervising volunteer pastoral assistants. The areas of training include communication skills, the use of prayer and testimony, and sharing the stories and promises of Scripture. The result is an expansion of the pastoral outreach of the church and an increase of encouragement among the people.
