Abstrakt

The author seeks to raise awareness of sex trafficking and trauma within the black church community, specifically in the Washington, DC, metropolitan are, with the goal of developing a call to action and advocacy for this issue. First, the author gathered information through interviews and data research; then she developed a framework fro healing victim/survivors that highlights ministries, counseling, and tools that aid the recovery process. Also included is a task-force model that incorporates preventative approaches.
