Abstrakt

The purpose of this paper was to discover and share effective year-round stewardship information to increase the funding for the mission of the church. A biblical/theological study of tithing and giving practices in the Old and New Testament can be found in this paper. A historical study of Presbyterian giving practices from colonial days to the present indicate a variety of ideas and programs. A research survey of Presbyterian churches in the 1980's shares a wealth of different ideas for stewardship year-round and fall campaign programs which can be adapted to any congregation.
