Abstrakt

The project raised and answered the question Why do people come to Church today, and what do they become by coming? through a worship audit prepared and analysed by the Minister and Kirk Session of Rubislaw Church, Aberdeen; a mainline, professionaly based congregation of the Church of Scotland. The results framed a programme of preaching and adult Christian education, a critical evaluation of current worship practices and the implementation of changes. The writer defined the congregational and cultural setting and reflected biblically and theologically on the distinctive nature of Christian worship and how it influences faith formation and evangelism.
