Abstrakt

The purpose of this thesis is to study and reflect critically on the changing nature of the modern Korean university, paying particular attention to the problems and needs of new Korean college students. The emphasis of this study has been primarily upon the campus ministry in the mission schools of Korea. This dissertation focuses on overcoming the phenomenon of religion (and especially of Christianity) being pushed out of the core of the university to its periphery, and presents a new model of the university community that enables the reinstatement of the original pattern of the university in pursuit of the balanced development of intellect and spirituality.
