Abstrakt

This project proposes an alternative curriculum for training missionaries in Spanish language and culture so that they enter the field with linguistic profiency and cultural competence appropriate for their calling. The project investigation shows that existing programs are inadequate and should be replaced. The curriculum brings to bear research in second-language acquisition and the pedagogy of culture.
