Abstrakt

The author set out to develop a program for training lay people in parish calling through materials that would be both effective in communicating the Christian faith and ministering to the needs of people. After reading many books and materials in the fields of evangelism and pastoral care, the author established criteria that would give the program integrity, both theologically and practically. He established the need through personal evaluation and a survey, and then developed the training program and relayed the dynamics of the training sessions. Reviewing and evaluating the training sessions and the calling that followed, the author concluded that the objectives and the goals of the project were met and the program was successful.
