Alternative Title
  • Proto-type for vision-building and vision-casting leading to renewal in a town and country church
Abstract
  • The thesis for the project was: if leaders within a local church will build a vision for one new ministry, they themselves will experience renewal, a new ministry will be born, and others within their church will experience renewal with them. The thesis was field-tested by two groups in two separate churches. Each group followed the theological basis and the guidelines that were recommended for building and implementing a vision that was to lead to a new ministry within each church. A new ministry was born within each church. The process and the experience of the process brought forth a positive and renewing effect upon the participants and spread beyond them. The conclusion was that the project worked when it was implemented by adequate leadership and when the project was directed by supportive guidelines.
