Abstrakt

The author developed an accompaniment paradigm for interim ministry based on Luke 24:13-35. She used accompaniment and embodied participatory methodologies in worship, with leaders, in symplaysiums, and in building a labyrinth to open up space for discovery, healing, and change at Haven Shores Community Church. Action research formed the basis of the project. Following the interim period, the author collected data from the congregation through a questionnaire and individual interviews. The responses and the author's analysis confirmed that the model of accompaniment using participatory methodologies effectively opened up space for discovery, healing, and change.
