Abstrakt

During the last quarter of the twentieth century pastors in North America were encouraged to use marketing techniques learned from the world of business. Combining these techniques with the Church Growth theories of Donald Gavran and his followers, the Church developed ideas of preaching to specific niche audiences and demographic groups. In recent years there has been considerable conversation about what it means to be missional. This thesis-project shows that the Bible presents a model of preaching that is appropriate to every age and culture. Every age is an age of mission and all biblical preaching will be missional preaching.
