  • The thesis was to increase the deacon visitation ministry in both frequency and quality through the development of an organized visitation program. A base for ministry was developed from the biblical concept of servant and the employment of historical and theological research. Evaluation of the plan developed was performed through questionnaires. The evaluation was that this program increased the frequency of deacon visitation and assisted the deacons in developing a positive understanding of their work. However, the congregation identified little or no change. The future looks promising because these two groups have opened the lines of communication.
