Abstrakt

The thesis of this project is that a worship committee can be particularly helpful in planning worship that is a bridge between persons' lives and God. The use of a worship committee is a logical outgrowth of a theology of participation. The basic purpose of the study was to develop a worship committee planning model and to test this model by offering a training course to worship planners from four diverse Mennonite congregations. The effectiveness of the model and the course were evaluated by course participants. Both were strongly affirmed. The worship committee is an effective, theologically sound planning strategy.
