Abstrakt

The purpose of this study is to examine the challenges facing a pastor when relocating a Midwest church of congregational polity and to offer solutions. In this qualitative study, the author examined the three predominate factors that contribute to the need for a church to relocate, the four major obstacles encountered in the relocation process and ten basic principles needed for successfully managing the relocation project. The author interviewed pastors, lay persons and denominational experts to ascertain this information.
