Abstrakt

The author describes migration as a communal and biblical experience; insights gained from political, liberation, and feminist contextual theologies; Wesley's social ethics and the rise of (Neo-)Pentecostalism in Brazil; and the author's own theological and ethical standpoint. Chapters five and six define the corporate image of the Latin American Christian Community in Geneva and describe its quest for a sense of direction within the general ecclesial context in Switzerland, taking into account its relationship with the Annual Conference, the local French-speaking Methodist congregation as well as the particular challenges posed by the rapid expansion of this bilingual, multi-cultural parish.
