  • Abstract has title: Effect of ministry descriptions on lay ministry at Covenant Life Church
Abstrakt
  • This project investigates the effectiveness of formal Ministry Descriptions in the perceptions of participating laypersons in Covenant Life Presbyterian Church (Sarasota, Fla). The importance of Ministry Descriptions presupposes the importance of lay ministry. The project designs Ministry Descriptions to enhance participants' perceptions of their ministries in six areas: expectations, lines of authority, evaluations, purposes within the overall ministry of the church, satisfaction with ministry, and satisfaction with Ministry Descriptions. Ministry Descriptions should be discussed with each participant in person; they must include a purpose statement, a list of objectives, a list of responsibilities, expected time commitment, needed resources, lines of authority, and identification of others involved in the ministry.
