  • Racism (the belief that one race is superior to another), although accepted as part of human nature, is in reality a learned behavior that can be unlearned. This process of unlearning (conversion) is life long. Small rural communities, typically more resistant to change, are not immune to the sin of racism or the need for ongoing conversion. Conversion begins with an awareness of racism brought to light through the prophetic preaching of the Word of God. This conversion process is likened to the recovery process from an addiction. One is never cured, but always in recovery.
