Abstrakt

This is a study of new accession Air Force chaplains, exploring their preparedness in the area of pastoral counseling. The study involved a focus group of five chaplains. The author discovered that the counseling preparation varied widely. It was further discovered that each chaplain struggled with issues of religious accommodation, with clerical confidentiality, and with the quantity of counseling encountered.
