- Presbyterian church-related colleges exist in a context characterized by secularism, globalism and religious diversity. This project focuses on how their Reformed theological identity can enable these colleges to affirm their Christian particularity in ways that promote their relevance in a pluralistic world. This project examines the post-Enlightenment intellectual milieu of contemporary higher education. It also presents how two Presbyterian church-related colleges (Presbyterian College and Warren Wilson College) are addressing religious particularity and plurality today. Furthermore, it explores the contributions that colleges in the Reformed tradition can make to the academy in our day.
