- Abstract
- This study examines the change in the organizational structure of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts in the period 1986-1988, and provides a framework and principles for church leaders who plan and implement change. Three dimensions of the phenomenon of change are examined: 1) the vision or goal of change; 2) the process of change; and 3) the leadership of change. The study draws upon the teachings of Jesus and the Bible, the author's experience as participant observer, and scholars and leaders such as Argyris, Fisch, Fisher, Frankl, Friedman, Jervis, King, Schein, and Ury.
