  • This study was a development of a process to help a church analyze and improve its 'spirit'. At any time every church has an intangible aura. Primary components including heritage, past leadership, credibility in the community, pattern of mission, degree of resistance to change, plus other factors, need adjustment to them. Secondary components, alterable, also were reflected in forty-five statements designed, analyzing synergistic 'spirit'. Three churches' leaders responded to the statements on the Likert scale. Consensus was achieved by Delphi technique. Goals for three months' improvement were set. Post testing determined improvement. author's use as denominational executive has precipitated wider potentiality.
