Abstrakt

This project investigates the role of a consultant interim minister in an urban church during the unusual time of transition. It uses the pastoral search inventory prepared by Hartford Seminary as a tool to determine the church's identity, interactions, linkages and expectations of a new ministry. The project includes an analysis of interim ministry, a history of the church under study, group process design and guidelines for the interim pastor serving during a time of transition. This project is a case study. The personal growth of an interim minister is also documented.
