Abstrakt

This thesis demonstrates that it is possible and advisable to produce Advent devotions and accompanying worship materials which relate personal meditation in the home to corporate worship in the congregation. It chronicles the writer's five-year history of writing such materials, proposes series of weekly themes based on a study of the pericopes appointed for the Sundays in Advent, and offers guidelines for those who would write such materials. Fourteen appendixes offer samples of the writer's published materials cited in the dissertation.
