  • This project studies creation of a pilot project in ministerial formation. The model drew on Letty Russell's work in partnership and on proleptic strategic planning. Both models called for identifying vision before planning steps to get there. As expected, partnership developed among the planners working toward a common interest. Serendipity, synergy and sharing characterized the budding partnership. Beyond the original model, leadership that assured participation by all was important. Clear lines of accountability, communication, and decision-making when planners reached the limits of institutional possibilities were also crucial. The process offered hope for partnership between seminary and the wider church.
