- This work offers a paradigm for economic development in the African American community. The community development model was developed as a mechanism to address social and economic issues. The Super Community Development Corporation, the specific research problem to be addressed, evolved from small CDCs with little capacity and smaller resource pools unable to effectively address the pressing concerns of urban communities. As the African American church seeks solutions to economic dilemma in the urban center, collaborative efforts such as the Super Community Development Corporation portend greater resource leverage and capacity. the pro-active method will be used to prove the hypothesis.
