- The purpose of this ministry research project was to develop the lay leaders to enable them to be involved in ministry as cell-leaders. Chapter 1 presented an overview that included three goals of cell group ministry, background information, definitions, and the research methodologies. Chapter 2 focused on biblical, theological, and historical foundations for cell groups. It described the role and perception of leadership in the functioning of the cell group. Chapter 3 addressed the social and psychological aspects of the cell group. It discussed the cell group meetings that are essential to Christian experience and growth in modern society: flexibility, mobility, inclusiveness, and effectiveness. The usefulness of cell groups in a cross-cultural setting is described in this chapter. Chapter 4 explained the procedures, program training, and equipping of cell leaders. The information obtained from Chapters 2 and 3 were applied to the program. Chapter 5 evaluated the plan, leaders, leader training program, teaching program, goals of this project, methods of this project, and the outcome of the cell group. The evaluation shows that participants were changed in their understanding and attitude for ministry.
