Abstrakt

The purpose of thie project was to equip the part-time staff to accomplish team-based ministry. The project consisted of research into the subject of teams from both a secular and church-related perspective. The role of part-time staff in the local church was also researched. A series of eight equipping sessions were planned and conducted to equip the staff in accomplishing team-based ministry. Averaging one hour in length, the equipping sessions dealt with the following areas: introduction and theological basis for team-based ministry, covenanting, vision-casting, culture-creating, collaborating, trusting, empowering, and learning. The project was evaluated through various methods by participants, the project director, the project director's field mentor, professional educators, and the project director's faculty advisor. The project director utilized a combination of the ministry skill enhancement model and the equipping program model to complete the project in ministry.
